NUDE Bulletin For April: Status Report on Supermix

A STATUS REPORT ON THE LEGAL MATTERS WITH SUPERMIX

Since the last bulletin the Union has retained the services of Attorney-at-law, Mr. Lennox Marcelle.

On March 17, 2010, Mr. Marcelle wrote a five (5) page letter to the Registration, Recognition and Certification Board (RRCB) stating a legal position on behalf of the Union as well as making recommendations on the issues raised at the clarification meeting held on January 26, 2010.

Subsequent to that the Union had a meeting at the RRCB to deal with Membership in Good Standing for another matter. The Secretary of the Board asked when the Union would be available to continue the clarification meeting. The Secretary was then told that the matter was in the hands of Mr. Marcelle and any meeting would have to be at his convenience.

To date neither the Union nor Mr. Marcelle has received any acknowledgement of the letter or any decision the RRCB has taken. We are aware that the Board has met.

It is in this light that we have written back to the Board asking for a formal letter on their decision since receiving Mr. Marcelle’s letter and any other issues that need to be discussed at the meeting.

Still, no date on the matter at the Court of Appeal.
